In general, there are two ways to go about deciding on a niche for your website or blog, depending on the reason that your site was designed. For example, a person who decides to create a blog about a particular topic because they are knowledgeable on a particular subject have very different ways of deciding a niche than someone whose sole purpose for creating a site is to make money. Here are some ways in which you can decide on your niche.

If the purpose of your blog is to talk about a particular subject, meet other people who share your interest, and to make a little money, you should think about the following things.

Decide what it is that you enjoy talking about. If you are passionate about, for example, antique watches, then you may decide to create a blog about the mechanics of antique watches as well as upcoming exhibits and the other variousaspects of collecting watches. Remember, a successful website is well maintained and updated frequently. So, if you think you will lose interest in the niche, perhaps that niche isn’t the right one for you.
